Celtics rout Pistons

What a fantastic game,

The Celtics Demolish the Pistons 114-93 at the Garden with Blake Griffin and Luke Kennard out for the Pistons. Boston got a nice bounce back game after the sloppy finish in Dallas.

Keys to the game:

Kemba Walker struggled but only took 6 shots going 0-6. However, it was not a bad night to do that on. Kemba still finished with 11 assists and is still the LEADER for the C’s group. He impacted the game without even having to score and shared the love with his assist game. I hope to not see anyone bashing him tonight they would be making themselves look foolish.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum drop 26 each.  Jaylen had the play of the night after nailing a corner 3, he then stole the inbounds pass from Bruce Brown and then without hesitation nails another 3.

– Young Bucks show their improvement.

1. Grant Williams had a career high 18 points and a nasty put back. He’s been a tremendous help off the bench and is only getting better with his ability to score (it’s there folks watch him in Tennessee films). Grant continued to be a sharpshooter, adding 2 more 3’s to that 3 point tracker now DOUBLING Ben Simmons’ 3 pointers on the season.

2. Romeo Langford finally got a chance to show why he was the C’s first pick in the draft and arguably why I believe he was their pick no matter wherever the pick landed. As Romeo showed great concentration and speed getting to the rim for his first NBA points he finished with 6 on 3-5 shooting. If you go back to when he was in college by watching a lot of his films, you’ll see how great of a finisher Langford is with his speed and athleticism. That’ll only help him get better throughout his progression in the League.

3. TACKOOOO!! Tacko Fall finally got his time, and man was TD Garden ready for it. There were standing ovations and crowd  was erupting like it was a playoff game as Brad Stevens enjoyably amped the fans Tacko Chants for him to then call Tacko into the game. Immediately you see how much of an impact Tacko is, not only one of the many fan favorites already, but a great help for the Celtics bigs as he showed his potential in shot blocking instantly, and then showed how much improvement he’s gotten inside the paint. He scored his first points of the night with a nice up and under move. After that he then got a nice pass from Wanamaker off  of a quick pick and roll to get him an easy dunk. Fall finished with 5 pts and a block with 2 boards in 5 minutes. I’m interested on how much more Stevens needs to see in order to give Tacko more minutes giving the struggles Boston’s bigs have had at times. All that being said though, Theis is the definite starter and Robert Williams has been a tremendous plus/minus off the bench.

– The Celtics are 10-0 this season when Jaylen Brown has 10+ points in the 1st half this season (he had 19 tonight) for his career the Celtics are 40-13 when Brown drops 10+ in the 1st half, Per @Max_Lederman

Grant Williams said after the game Per @BrianTRobb: “it’s fun the compete with guys that you know are going to play there butts off for you every single night, play with that effort and intensity on both ends of the court”.

But the best note of the night was again from @BrianTRobb Jayson Tatum on Jaylen Brown: “Hopefully, we can play with each other for a very long time.” And that my friends is music to every Celtics fans ears.
